Boris Yefimovich Nemtsov (October 9, 1959, Sochi — February 27, 2015, Moscow) was a prominent Russian political figure, critic of Vladimir Putin, and advocate for democracy. As the first governor of Nizhny Novgorod, he had extensive experience in governance and opposition politics, uniting various political movements into a single front. Tragically, Nemtsov was assassinated on February 27, 2015, near the Kremlin.

In my opinion, one of the best films about Boris Nemtsov is «Too Free a Man,» a documentary exploring the life of the Russian politician. The screenplay was written by Vera Krichevskaya and Mikhail Fishman, with Krichevskaya also directing the film. The producers include Evgeny Gindilis, Krichevskaya, and Fishman, who also conducted interviews featured in the documentary. This film offers an in-depth portrayal of Nemtsov’s political career and enduring legacy.
